Introducing Elevation! All Things After-School

We're excited to share a new name for all of our after-school programming this year: Elevation!

You may remember hearing the term ELO-P (Expanded Learning Opportunities Program) in the past, referring to our after-school clubs. As our after-school opportunities have continued to grow, we wanted one simple name that brings everything together. Elevation will now be the umbrella for all of the amazing learning, enrichment, care, and activities that happen beyond the school day at Elevate.

Our hope is that the name Elevation reflects what these opportunities are all about: helping students continue to learn, grow, discover new interests, build friendships, and continue to grow as leaders beyond the typical school day.

We're also excited to share that Elevate will be a new recipient of the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Grant later this fall. This funding will allow us to expand opportunities for students and continue strengthening our after-school programming.

With this grant comes a few additional state requirements for families if they participate in after-school programming. Once you sign your child up for an activity, we'll walk you through each step and we'll make the process as simple as possible.

To participate in any Elevation after-school program or activity, all families must first complete the Universal ASES Registration Form. This one-time registration should take 5-10 minutes and is required before students can sign up for clubs, enrichment opportunities, or our daily after-school program options (Champions/Middle School).

** Families who are already enrolled in Champions (SM and TS) or our Middle School After-School Program must complete this form prior to your child’s first day of attendance.

 By default, our attendance system requires students to stay until 6:00 PM. Any pickup earlier than 6:00 PM will not count as sufficient attendance unless an ER Form is on file.

Our Recommendation: When completing the ER Form, you are welcome to put any time that makes sense for your family. However, our best recommendation is to set your child's early release time to 30 minutes after the school day ends. This gives you maximum flexibility to pick up your student early on any given day. Your student is always welcome to stay later than that time.

Important Filling Instructions: Regardless of which days your child currently attends, we ask that you fill out all days on the form. This ensures you are covered in case your schedule changes in the future.

After completing the Universal ASES Registration Form, you will be able to sign up at different points throughout the school year for the specific Elevation opportunities your child would like to participate in, such as clubs, athletics, tutoring, intercessions, or our daily after-school programs. Just like ELO-P in previous years, families will have the opportunity to sign up for clubs at the start of each “session” throughout the year.

We'll send out information and sign-ups for Session 1 Clubs the week of 8/17 with links and step-by-step instructions. As in previous years, some clubs and activities will have limited space, so please complete the Universal ASES Registration Form as soon as possible so you are ready to sign up for opportunities as they arise throughout the school year.

With the exception of our daily after-school programs (Champions @TK-5 and Elevate-run After-School Program @ middle school campus)*, all Elevation activities are free of charge. 

*Students whose families qualify for Free or Reduced-Price Meals, are English Learners, or foster youth always participate in daily after-school free of charge, as well.  

We're so excited about everything Elevation will offer our students this year and can't wait to see our students continue learning, exploring, creating, and leading after school.
