Cassandra was born and raised in Utah and is a proud Latina with a deep appreciation for her Hispanic heritage.  Growing up in a trilingual household, Cassandra became fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English at an early age.  Her love for people of all cultures has allowed her to connect with people from all over the world.  She has worked or volunteered in elementary, middle, and high schools for over 20 years.  She has managed charitable organizations and is trained in Montessori teaching methods.  She has a bachelor’s degree from BYU and a master’s degree from ASU.

Cassandra is devoted to charter schools and is a former Elevate Parent and Board Member.  She is a certified Facilitator for Franklin Covey and recognizes the importance of parent engagement in education.  She is passionate about finding strategies for building strong partnerships between schools and families and is an advocate for parent involvement in their child’s education.

Cassandra has been happily married for over 30 years.  She and her husband, Chris, have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.  When not travelling, she likes to cook, bake, play board games, do crossword puzzles, and volunteer at her church.  She feels it a privilege to serve the Elevate community.
