Art Fun for Kinder through Fifth Grade

What fun we've been having in art this year! 

Our kinder friends worked on a special project to welcome new students to the school. First grade is creating puppets to go along with their class project. Second grade started the year off with a messy but fun paper mache project creating globes. In third grade we learned about weaving and the students became weaving pros! We've even used shaving cream and food coloring in fourth and fifth grades to create marbleized paper which became the base of our Notan art. 

In every class we aim to follow our art rules (inspired by Cassie Stephens) which are:
A: Aim, to try your best and aim to do the right thing
R: Respect, yourself, your artwork, your classmates, and the art room
T: Trust, in your ability to learn

We always welcome parent volunteers into our art studio. So please get raptor cleared and come help with all the fun projects ahead! Feel free to email me if you're interested lcriswell@elevateschool.com

Dear Elevate Families,

We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of generosity, kindness, and compassion from our school community in response to our recent call for support. Your willingness to step up and contribute has been nothing short of inspiring.

Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to cover the full cost of all of the boxes that were ordered, with enough left over to help fund a portion of next week’s distribution as well. Your donations met a need, and we hope to continue this important effort through the holiday season.

Your generosity is a reflection of the spirit that defines Elevate. We are a community that not only learns together but lifts one another up in times of need. You have shown our students the true meaning of empathy, leadership, and service.

The upcoming Load the Lounge is hosted by our 2nd Grade families (but any Elevate family is invited to join in too)! Simply drop off snack/beverage donations on Friday, November 7 - a collection bin will be located right outside the Serra Mesa Campus office. Every contribution helps remind our teachers and staff how valued they are. Let’s load the lounge with love!

Let's stand together against bullying with a Whole School Spirit Day! Join us in celebrating Unity Day by wearing ORANGE to spread the message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion across our school community. (Students who choose to not wear orange should wear their regular school uniform.)

TOY DRIVE
This holiday season, let’s come together to share joy and kindness! Donate a new, unwrapped toy to help brighten the holidays for a military family in need. All gifts will go to S.T.E.P. (Support the Enlisted Project), supporting local enlisted service members and their families. Simply drop off your donations in your classroom or the school office.

Each class will share a special song, poem, or presentation to honor our military-connected students and families, while reflecting on the meaning of this important day. It’s always a heartfelt and memorable event, open to all Elevate families.
