Sophie Karagianes is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies, specializing in interpersonal and organizational communication. Most of Sophie's professional career has been rooted in Human Resources, where she champions a holistic, people-centric approach. She is currently the Chief People Officer at Petvisor, leading efforts in employee engagement, talent retention, information security, and the seamless integration of mergers and acquisitions. Previously, she worked as an HR Business Partner at Tesla, supporting a diverse workforce across southern California and Hawaii. 

Sophie’s early career in sales, marketing, and account management has given her a uniquely broad perspective, enabling her to be a well-rounded business partner. She excels at fostering relationships built on trust, creativity, and collaboration. From a young age, Sophie has embraced challenges, demonstrating a relentless determination to find solutions. Her greatest satisfaction comes from empowering others to succeed and realizing their potential.

Originally from the Midwest, Sophie has called San Diego home since 2015. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tomas, two children, Nikos and Kasia, and their dog, Max.
