The Lighthouse team was created on the principles of Covey's 7 habits to give our amazing student leaders the opportunity to showcase their leadership skills outside of the classroom environment to build our school community. At the beginning of the year, students have the opportunity to apply to one of two Lighthouse teams that they would like to be a part of. The Lighthouse LEAD Team is a full year commitment where students need to interview at the beginning of the year for the position. The LEAD team is responsible for planning and organizing school events, such as socials and spirit days. The Lighthouse LEAD team commits to weekly morning meetings and extra tasks and assignments on top of their regular schoolwork.
Students who are unable to commit to the LEAD team time requirements but still want to showcase their leadership skills are able to apply to various action teams. These action teams are based on student interests, such as the Assembly Team, Design Team, Campus Assitants or Lunch Leaders!
All students are invited to join our Student Lighthouse Teams and will maintain eligibility by meeting academic and behavioral standards of excellence. Students are selected based on their interest to assist in the different activities and events that are planned to enhance our campus culture, and all of our leaders believe that their efforts will benefit the greater school community!
