Brenda Beyer, M.Ed.
Counselor, Grades K-5

 

Brenda Beyer (she/her/ella) was born and raised in the Imperial Valley rooted in her Mexican American heritage. In 1997, Mrs. Beyer moved to San Diego, graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Psychology and earned her Masters of Science degree Educational Counseling at National University in 2009. She was inspired by her mother working in education and her sister as an exemplary elementary school teacher. 
 
Mrs. Beyer is happily married with a son and daughter that keep her busy with their sports and ambitions. She finds joy in spending time with family, in nature, traveling, yoga, meeting new people, mission trips, experiencing new foods/culture and being active in the community. 
 
She is Elevate’s K-5 School Counselor and super excited to serve and support the community. She thrives being the student’s biggest cheerleader in dreaming big and pursuing their lives with integrity, self-awareness and compassion for self and others.

Anais Cortes, M.S.
Counselor, Grades 6-8

 

Anais Cortes (she/her/ella) is from Fullerton, California. She has lived in Orange County all her life but is excited to be in sunny San Diego! She graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Human Development and a B.A. Cognitive Science. Recently, she graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a M.S. in School Counseling. As the daughter of a high school teacher and an immigrant, the value of education was instilled in her from early on. 

 

In her free time, Ms. Cortes loves spending time with friends and family, reading, traveling, and exploring new cultures through food. She is passionate about serving students and their families to make sure all students get what they need to be successful.

 

Her motto when working with students is, “The world needs who you were meant to be!”

Jillian Williams, M.A., Ed.S.
School Psychologist


Jillian Williams was born and raised in the San Diego area. She has worked at Elevate Elementary since 2014. Mrs. Williams graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education. She earned her Master's degree in School Psychology and Education Specialist degree in Educational Psychology at Chapman University. After graduation, she worked in the Long Beach Unified School District for 6 years before moving back to the San Diego area.

 

Mrs. Williams is married and has three boys, ages 15, 13, and 10. She is excited to be living in her favorite city, close to family and the beach. Outside of work, she keeps busy with her kids’ activities, enjoys working on projects around the house, and attempts to find time to exercise. During the summer, she enjoys traveling with her family and spending more time with her boys.
