Robert (Ryan) Elliott, M.Ed., is the Founding Principal of Elevate School, who received a B.A. from Cornell University and an M.Ed. from Harvard University. He is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to develop all elements of Elevate – along with an exceptional Board and volunteer team - in preparation for September, 2014. Most recently, Mr. Elliott served as an administrator at Jean Farb Middle School in Tierrasanta. While at Farb, Mr. Elliott balanced numerous roles and responsibilities related to the day-to-day functioning of the school, ensuring a safe learning environment and exercising instructional leadership by facilitating professional development with the math department on the Common Core State Standards. Mr. Elliott’s leadership style is grounded in the core elements of proactively creating an environment for positive behavior and forming strong partnerships both within the school and with its outside partners. Cultivating strong relationships with and between parents and teachers is essential in supporting students to realize their full potential. Previous to his position at Farb, Mr. Elliott was a teacher at Roosevelt International Baccalaureate Middle School (SDUSD) for six years. Mr. Elliott’s daily passion was to create a learning environment in which students were equipped with the academic, social emotional, and problem-solving tools they need to be 21st century leaders.
