Get a Head Start: New Volunteer Training Requirement for 2026–27

We love having our families involved at Elevate, and we want to make it easy for you to be ready before the first bell! Under a new California law, Senate Bill 848, adult volunteers who work with students are now required to complete Mandated Reporter Training annually. This training helps all of us recognize and respond to signs that a child may need support which is an important part of keeping every Elevate student safe.

The training is online and self-paced (about two hours), so you can complete it over the summer and be cleared and ready on day one.

Cost of the certificate is $10. If this is a financial hardship, please email info@elevateschool.com.

How to complete the training:

1. Visit the State of California's free Mandated Reporter training.
2. Under Available Trainings, select "Volunteers" 
3. Finish the module and download your certificate of completion.
4. Email your certificate to volunteer@elevateschool.com.
